I just finished a one-year chronological Bible reading plan in 4 and 1/2 years. Going into it, I knew I would be faithful to their sequence but not their pace. I had planned to take my time with it. Did I think it would take four years? Heck no!
It was a good 4 and 1/2 years. It gave me time to linger to my heart's content, though my momentum dragged toward the end. It's good to have some pull.
What next? I like the thought of flexible selection/study tethered by a definite accountability system. So, I created a Google spreadsheet to keep me constant, though I plan to dip into several sections and plans. The only rule is to read every day. Also, I'd like to get back to writing out my reflections more. Maybe I will have a more modest goal in that regard--still thinking...
Today I started a plan over at She Reads Truth. We'll see how that goes.
Here's the link to my reading chart.
